The project has been successfully modernized and builds correctly with Vite. All components are now loading without 500 errors or runtime JavaScript failures. The process variable issue has been resolved with proper Node.js polyfills.

Bootstrap 5 requires manual initialization for tooltips and popovers. We need to scan the project for jejich usages and add the required JavaScript initializer.

• Action: Find all elements with data-bs-toggle="tooltip" or data-bs-toggle="popover".
• Action: Add a global script to initialize them.

2. Fix SASS Deprecation Warnings

The build process shows many SASS deprecation warnings related to @import and old color functions.

• Action: Update main.scss and custom.scss to use the modern @use and @forward syntax instead of @import.
• Action: Replace deprecated color functions (e.g., lighten(), darken()) with Bootstrap 5's color API or Sass modules.

3. Investigate and Fix map.html

The original plan noted that map.html was broken.

• Action: Test the map.html page.
• Action: Ensure the jqvmap library is correctly initialized and rendered.

4. Test and Fix Missing/Incomplete Components

Overview

Successfully modernizing the Gentelella admin template from Bootstrap 4 to Bootstrap 5 with modern npm ecosystem.

✅ Recent Critical Fixes (Latest Session)

1. Skycons Weather Icons - ✅ Fixed initialization errors

   • Problem: skycons.add is not a function error
   • Root Cause: Skycons npm package exports a factory function, not the constructor directly
   • Solution: Updated import to SkyconsFactory(window) to get actual constructor
   • Result: Weather icons now display and animate properly

2. Gauge Charts - ✅ Fixed constructor errors

   • Problem: Object is not a constructor error for Gauge
   • Root Cause: gaugejs exports object with destructured properties
   • Solution: Changed import to { Gauge } from 'gaugejs'
   • Result: Gauge charts now render with proper animations

3. Quick Settings Gauge Colors - ✅ Updated to match theme

   • Solution: Changed gauge colors to use theme green (#26B99A) instead of orange
   • Pointer: Now uses main font color (#73879C) for better consistency
   • Result: Gauge perfectly matches progress bar colors and overall theme

4. Visitors Location Map - ✅ Fixed data and colors

   • Problem: Map showed random GDP data instead of visitor percentages
   • Solution: Updated to show actual visitor data (US: 33%, France: 27%, etc.)
   • Colors: Now uses theme color (#26B99A) with varying intensities based on visitor percentage
   • Tooltips: Added visitor percentage display on hover
   • Result: Map now accurately reflects sidebar data with consistent theming

5. Chart.js Integration - ✅ Working properly

   • All Chart.js v4 charts rendering correctly
   • Network Activity charts replaced Flot successfully
   • Line, bar, and doughnut charts all functional
