Rohit Jnagal 9cbfb0c3f9 Add --hostport to run-container. 
This helps as a starting point to show a single-machine container.
Its easier to use this as an example to show where host port mapping breaks and move on to
services.

Chao Xu 4787c66214 Register the API versions to the DefaultRESTMapper in the order of preferred versions first. 
This makes kubectl sends requests to URLs in the format defined by the latest API version.

Clayton Coleman 12ba4e2452 Do not automatically decode runtime.RawExtension 
Make clients opt in to decoding objects that are stored
in the generic api.List object by invoking runtime.DecodeList()
with a set of schemes. Makes it easier to handle unknown
schema objects because decoding is in the control of the code.

Add runtime.Unstructured, which is a simple in memory
representation of an external object.

Jeff Lowdermilk fa6ce7b7bf Add a --raw flag to kubectl config view 
Defaults to false, unless --flatten is specified. Default behavior
(--raw=false) is that byte data (Client{Certificate,Key}data,
CertificateAuthorityData) is redacted for a more human-readable view.
Useful for manually inspecting files that have embeded data.

Yu-Ju Hong 06125f37d3 Print container statuses in `kubectl get pods` 
`kubectl get pod` already prints one container per line. This change fills in
the status for each container listed. This aims to help users quickly identify
unhealthy pods (e.g. in a crash loop) at a glance.

 - The first row of every pod would display the pod information and status
 - Each row of the subsequent rows corresponds to a container in that pod:
    * STATUS refers to the container status (Running, Waiting, Terminated).
    * CREATED refers to the elapsed time since the last start time of the
      container.
    * MESSAGE is a string which explains the last termination reason, and/or
      the reason behind the waiting status.

* Support configurable cleanup policies in RollingUpdater. Downstream
library consumers don't necessarily have the same rules for post
deployment cleanup; making the behavior policy driven is more flexible.

* Refactor RollingUpdater to accept a config object during Update instead
of a long argument list.

* Add test coverage for cleanup policy.

Clayton Coleman 545a5a865f List output with differing types should be more resilient 
kubectl get can output a series of objects as a List in versioned
form, but not all API objects are available in the same schema.
Make the act of converting a []runtime.Object to api.List more
robust and add a test to verify its behavior in Get.

Makes it easier for client code to output unified objects.

docker has stopped answering dockerfile/redis and dockerfile/nginx.  Fix all
users in our tree.  Sadly this means a lot of published examples are now broken.

Use custom narrowly scoped interfaces for client access from the
RollingUpdater and Resizer. This allows for more flexible downstream
integration and unit testing without imposing a burden to implement

Eric Paris c75ecbd8e3 bash_completions: annotate kubectl get with resources which can be 'gotten' 
A user types:
  kubectl get $resource

This will cause the bash completions to suggest the possible objects the
user can ask for.  The complete list right now is:

endpoints
event
limitrange
namespace
node
persistentvolume
persistentvolumeclaim
pod
replicationcontroller
resourcequota
secret
service
status

But this list should stay up2date as api objects are added or deleted

Eric Paris f6878aed3c Add bash completion custom functions 
These functions call out to kubectl to get information about running
resources.  They give us completions which are kubernetes aware and thus
obviously better than just cobra subcommands and flags.

Clayton Coleman 92a68ad7bf The versioned printer should be initialized with the mapping apiversion 
VersionedPrinter handles fallback when multiple different APIVersions
are present if multiple arguments are passed (for instance, both Kube
resources at v1beta3 and a third party's API objects which are only
at v1). The cmd PrinterForMapping should always include the current
object's "mapping version" as a fallback in the event the preferred
API version does not map to the actual object.

Exec and port forward weren't working with v1beta3 because they were
proxying minions. Change minions to nodes. This appears to work with

Quinton Hoole 40e2eae5b4 Retry replication controller rolling updates on version mismatch. 
When kubectl does rolling updates of replication controllers, retry updates that
fail due to version mismatches (caused by concurrent updates by other clients).
These failed rolling updates were causing intermittent e2e test failures
(e.g. issue 5821)

Tim Hockin 8ae203825b Implement multi-port endpoints 
Instead of endpoints being a flat list, it is now a list of "subsets"
where each is a struct of {Addresses, Ports}.  To generate the list of
endpoints you need to take union of the Cartesian products of the
subsets.  This is compact in the vast majority of cases, yet still
represents named ports and corner cases (e.g. each pod has a different
port number).

This also stores subsets in a deterministic order (sorted by hash) to
avoid spurious updates and comparison problems.

This is a fully compatible change - old objects and clients will
keepworking as long as they don't need the new functionality.

This is the prep for multi-port Services, which will add API to produce
endpoints in this new structure.

Clayton Coleman 17f7dd8d6d Only insert outputversion as a preferred mapping type if no error occurs 
Some types will be looked up based on their internal type, which is passed
directly to RESTMapping(). RESTMapping() will search the entire version
list if no external types are passed, but OutputVersionMapper was bypassing
that because the default type was always present.

Change OutputVersionMapper to collapse empty versions, and when no external
type is specified, try with the preferred version and then try without.

This is first version of the command. It prints IPs of master and cluster

Revise our code to only call Request.Namespace() if a namespace
*should* be present.  For root scoped resources, namespace should
be ignored.  For namespaced resources, it is an error to have
Namespace=="".

Victor Marmol d158bbd62a Print client version before evaluating server's. 
This will allow the client version to be printed even if the server
version is not available.

Yu-Ju Hong 4a72addaeb Factor out API defaulting from validation logic 
Currently, the validation logic validates fields in an object and supply default
values wherever applies. This change factors out defaulting to a set of
defaulting callback functions for decoding (see #1502 for more discussion).

 * This change is based on pull request 2587.

 * Most defaulting has been migrated to defaults.go where the defaulting
   functions are added.

 * validation_test.go and converter_test.go have been adapted to not testing the
   default values.

 * Fixed all tests with that create invalid objects with the absence of
   defaulting logic.

Tim Hockin 70ab406751 Use a constant for the pod infra container name 
This is an implementation detail that has leaked out of kubelet.  Use a
constant to prevent divergence, for now.  Plan to get rid of it.

Before this fix, the server version was printed from a pointer, making
the Go formatter prefix it with a &.
