WebSSH

A simple web application to be used as an ssh client to connect to your ssh servers. It is written in Python, base on Tornado and Paramiko.

Preview

Login Terminal

Install dependencies

$ pip install -r requirements.txt

Run

$ python main.py

Help

$ python main.py --help

Python versions supported ?

Only tested with Python versions 2.7.12 and 3.5.2 on Ubuntu 16.04.

A config example for putting Nginx as a front web server

location / { 
    proxy_pass http://127.0.0.1:8888;
    proxy_http_version 1.1;
    proxy_read_timeout 300;
    proxy_set_header Upgrade $http_upgrade;
    proxy_set_header Connection "upgrade";
    proxy_set_header Host $host;
}

Tips

  • If you want to run it in production server, please disable debug mode, set debug as False in settings.
  • Try to use Nginx a front web server and enable HTTPS, this will prevent your ssh credentials from being uncovered. Also the communication between your browser and the web server will be encrypted as they use secured websockets.
