We have to use dedicated DiskWriter instead of
(*entryItr_)->getDiskWriter(). This is because
SingleFileAllocationIterator cannot reopen file if file is closed by
OpenedFileCounter.
--file-allocation option can now take new value 'trunc'. 'trunc' uses
ftruncate() system call or platform-specific counterpart to truncate a
file to a specified length.
Using off_t, at least, in DiskAdaptor layer is problematic because
torrent can contain under 2GiB files but total sum of those files may
exceed 2GiB limit, which makes off_t overflow in 32 bit system without
large file support. So we use int64_t in API. We'll check the file
length before download so that it does not exceed max off_t.
Removed SharedHandle::isNull(). Instead we added operator* and
operator unspecified_bool_type. Removed use of WeakHandle and
replaced with raw pointer.
When allocating disk space, for Linux system with fallocate()
system call, first check file system supports fallocate. This
just run fallocate with small chunk and see it succeeds or fails.
If it succeeds, use fallocate() to allocate entire file otherwise
fall back to traditional slower method: writing zeros. This
behavior is enabled in --file-allocation=prealloc, so this is
enabled by default for most modern Linux.

Added 'falloc' parameter for --file-allocation option. 'falloc'
allocation mode uses posix_fallocate() system call to allocate
file on disk. If you are using newer file systems such as ext4
(with extents support), btrfs or xfs, 'falloc' is your best
choice. It allocates large(few GiB) files almost instantly.
Don't use 'falloc' with legacy file systems such as ext3 because
it takes almost same time as 'prealloc' and it blocks aria2
entirely until allocation finishes. 'falloc' may not be
available if your system doesn't have posix_fallocate() system
call.

Added --index-out option to specify each file path for torrent.
Here index shown in --show-files option is used to specify which
file path should be altered. For example, to change the file
path with index=2, use --index-out=2=aria2.tar.bz2. You can use
this option multiple times: --index-out=1=aria2.tar.bz2
--index-out=2=aria2-opt.tar.bz2. The short hand form -O is also
available. This option can be specified in -i list.

Fixed the bug that DiskWriterEntry is not created when its
FileEntry.isRequested() is false and it doesn't share a piece
with
other FileEntries that are requested. This bug causes
segmentation fault
in the end.
Create only requested files and files which shares a piece with
requested file in multi-torrent downloads. Directory structures
are
also created in the same rule.
MultiDiskAdaptor::fileExists() now uses FileEntry instead of
DiskWriterEntry as in the previous implementation.

Rewritten SharedHandle. Now copy constructor taking raw pointer
has
keyword explicit and SharedHandle's default constructor
initializes
its internal obj to null, old implementation initializes it
using
obj's default constructor.
To assign null, write SharedHandle<T> x(...); x.reset();
TODO: test/SharedHandleTest.cc needs more tests.

Added direct I/O support. The current implementation uses O_DIRECT,
which is not posix standard and is tested on linux 2.6.21.
Currently only file allocation uses direct I/O.

Implemented BitTorrent/http/ftp integrated download.
I've rewritten lots of files and now some headers have forward
class declarations to reduce compile time.
The implementation is extremely alpha stage, I recommend to use this
for testing purpose only.
