The old implementation calculates download/upload statistics for a
RequestGroup by summing up all PeerStat objects. For global
statistics, those are summed together. This clearly incurs runtime
penalty and we introduced some kind of caching which updates
statistics every 250ms but it did not work right.
This change removes all these aggregation code, and instead makes
RequestGroup and RequestGroupMan objects hold NetStat object and
download/upload bytes are directly calculated by thier own NetStat.
This is far more simplar than the old way and less runtime penalty and
brings more accuracy.
Removes the unselected files when download is completed in
BitTorrent. To selecting files, use --select-file option. If it is not
used, all files are assumed to be selected. Please use this option
with care because it will actually remove files from your disk.
This option is default to false.
If true is given to --deferred-input option, aria2 does not read all
URIs and options from file specified by -i option at startup, but it
reads one by one when it needs later. This may reduce memory usage if
input file contains a lot of URIs to download. If false is given,
aria2 reads all URIs and options at startup. This option defaults to
false.
~AbstractDiskWriter calles closeFile(), but suppresses exception.
MultiDiskAdaptor::closeFile() logs error if child
DiskWriter::closeFile() throws exception. This exception is not
rethrown. If at least one exception is caught,
MultiDiskAdaptor::closeFile() throws new DlAbortEx.
RequestGroupMan::closeFile() just logs exception and suppress each
exception. Generally, don't call closeFile() in destructor. If you
need to call it, it must suppress the exception.
Added --download-result=OPT option. This option changes the way
"Download Results" is formatted. If OPT is 'default', print GID,
status, average download speed and path/URI. If multiple files are
involved, path/URI of first requested file is printed and remaining
ones are omitted. If OPT is 'full', print GID, status, average
download speed, percentage of progress and path/URI. The percentage of
progress and path/URI are printed for each requested file in each row.
In MinGW32 build, global::cout is WinConsoleFile. When outputing to
console, it uses WriteConsoleW, so Unicode characters are written.
Fixed memory leak in WChar<->MultiByte conversion functions. The
portion of code which uses std::cout is rewritten to use global::cout.
This option pauses download after added. This option is effective only
when --enable-rpc=true is given. When --save-session option is used
and there are paused downloads, they are saved with --pause=true so
that it will become paused state when the session is recovered.
The delay is caused because some Commands are only called in certain
interval(called refreshInterval, default, 1000ms). In aria2 download
stops when all Commands associated to it are stopped. Since some
Commands are called in each 1000ms by default, as mentioned before, we
have to wait for them. To fix this issue, we call
DownloadEngine::setRefreshInterval(0) when pausing/stopping downloads.
DownloadEngine::setRefreshInterval(0) makes refreshInterval 0 in one
shot.
When all segments are ignored, now DownloadFailureException is thrown.
And stop the download immediately. As described earlier, we call
DownloadEngine::setRefreshInterval(0) in catch block of
DownloadFailureException to eliminate delay.
--enable-rpc and --rpc-* option instead.
--enable-xml-rpc and --xml-rpc-* option can be used but warning
message will be shown. The help tag #xml-rpc was replaced with #rpc.
The method signature is aria2.removeDownloadResult(gid). This method
removes completed/error/removed download denoted by gid from
memory. This method returns "OK" for success.
DownloadEngine::onEndOfRun() to process RequestGroup objects currently
in-progress.
With this change, --on-download-stop/error/complete hooks are properly
called for in-progress downloads when Ctrl-C is pressed.
createInitialCommand().
This makes groupToAdd be processed by removeStoppedGroup() and
--on-download-error hook is properly triggered. Now
--on-download-start is also triggered for groupToAdd even if exception
is thrown in createInitialCommand().
Added .cc file for classes/structs that only provided by header
file. Defined non-POD classes' ctor, dtor in .cc file. Moved
implementation code in header file to .cc file for major
classes/strucsts.
Removed SharedHandle::isNull(). Instead we added operator* and
operator unspecified_bool_type. Removed use of WeakHandle and
replaced with raw pointer.
Sort usedHosts by least used and faster download speed.

Added --max-download-result=NUM option. This option sets maximum
number of download result kept in memory. The download results are
completed/error/ removed downloads. The download results are
stored in FIFO queue and it can store at most NUM download
results. When queue is full and new download result is created,
oldest download result is removed from the front of the queue and
new one is pushed to the back. Setting big number in this option
may result high memory consumption after thousands of
downloads. Specifying 0 means no download result is kept. Default
value is 1000.

Added aria2.pause and aria2.unpause XML-RPC method. aria2.pause
pauses the download denoted by gid. gid is of type string. The
status of paused download becomes "paused" and the download is
placed on the first position of waiting queue. As long as the
status is "paused", the download is not started. To change status
to "waiting", use aria2.unpause method. This method returns GID of
paused download. aria2.unpause changes the status of the download
denoted by gid from "paused" to "waiting". This makes the download
eligible to restart. gid is of type string. This method returns
GID of unpaused download.

Avoid to calculate end() iterator in each loop. std::deque is
particularly slow. Make sure that recalculate end iterator if
element is erased during loop.
Added changePosition XML-RPC method. It takes 3 parameters: gid,
pos and how. This method changes the position of download denoted
by gid. If how is POS_SET, it moves the download to a position
relative to the beginning of the queue. If how is POS_CUR, it
moves the download to a position relative to the current
position. If how is POS_END, it moves the download to a position
relative to the end of the queue. If the destination position is
less than 0 or beyond the end of the queue, it moves the download
to the beginning or the end of the queue respectively. Returns
the destination position.

Don't save control file when aria2 exists while checking piece
hash(behavior of -V option). If control file doesn't exist when
aria2 launched, the completed length in saved control file will be
0 byte and this confuses user. disableSaveControlFile() is called
in RequestGroup::processCheckIntegrityEntry().
enableSaveControlFile() will be called after hash checking is
done. See CheckIntegrityCommand.

Rewritten PeerStats handling in SegmentMan.cc. Now we have 2 list
of PeerStat in SegmentMan. peerStats is used for calculating
download speed. Therefore all active PeerStats should be in
there. Another one is _fastestPeerStats and it only contains
fastest PeerStat for each hostname/protocol pair. They are used
for updating ServerStat.

Rewritten PeerStat handling. In the previous implementation,
faster command tries to find slower command. In this new
implementation, slower command tries to find faster command.
PeerStat is now created in each HTTP/FTP request to get download
rate correctly. If the download range is small, the download rate
tends to small and this will occur at the later stage of download.
